Spelman College Chapter
Where It All Began.
The InspYred Spelman College Chapter, founded in March of 2025 by Ashira Ramani, is the founding home of our organization — a student-led hub for arts education, community service, and creative engagement on campus and beyond.
Our Chapter Mission
The Spelman chapter exists to bring the arts to the campus community and the neighborhoods around it. Through community service, educational outreach, and campus programming, we make artistic expression accessible to everyone — not just those who can afford it.
What We Do

Arts Education Outreach
We bring arts education programs to schools and community centers across metro Atlanta, partnering with educators to integrate creative expression into learning.
Community Service
Our chapter leads service projects that use the arts as a vehicle for community connection — from workshops and performances to collaborative installations.
Campus Programming
We host events, showcases, and workshops on the Spelman campus that celebrate student artists and invite the broader campus community into creative spaces.
Community Partnerships
We build relationships with local organizations, schools, and arts institutions to extend our reach and deepen our impact across Atlanta.

Nia leads the InspYred Spelman Chapter with a vision rooted in both artistic excellence and community impact. As a Dance and Psychology double major, she brings a unique lens to the intersection of creative expression and human connection.

Lauryn supports chapter operations and strategic growth as Vice President. Her background in Dance and Entrepreneurship drives her commitment to building sustainable, community-centered arts programming.

Community Partnership
Boyce L. Ansley School
A tuition-free private school serving students with home disparities — and one of our most meaningful ongoing collaborations.

We're back at Boyce L. Ansley for a new activation — this time bringing dance on film to the students. We're exploring movement, camera, and creative expression in a whole new way.
8-Week Film Lab · Spring 2026
The Film Lab
Last spring, the InspYred Spelman Chapter partnered with Boyce L. Ansley School to lead an 8-week film lab for 3rd graders. Students learned how to direct, act, edit, and produce their own short films — discovering their voices as storytellers and filmmakers.
The Outcome
At the end of the program, students screened the short films, in a red carpet film festival style, they created alongside a film produced by our chapter members. The result was a full creative collaboration between college students and elementary schoolers, united by the power of storytelling.
